I'm glad this question asks "how was my experience" because an experience is exactly how I remember, and enjoyed, my shoot with Giorgia.
Doing something like this was something I had wanted to do for an extremely long time but had always been too afraid too do. I had tentatively spoken to other photographers before but none came close to the instant feeling, from the very first message, of welcoming calm, and encouragement as I felt here.
Throughout my shoot I felt welcome, rewarded, brave, encouraged, vulnerable, and beautiful. And I can't thank her enough for that. I can't stress enough how therapeutic the whole experience was from start to finish and I can't recommend highly enough that if this is something you have been thinking about doing then please, PLEASE, take the plunge. You will not regret it.

The shoot was to create a cover image for Vada magazine, to coincide with World AIDS Day. It was important to me that the photos were fierce, bold and uncompromising - I get tired of the narrative of people with HIV being held up as subjects for pity. So I came to the session with an agenda, and through talking with Giorgia, I felt comfortable exploring new ideas and concepts for a shoot that delivered some exceptional results. Giorgia was friendly and fun to work with and the results are exceptional. The image used for the cover has been labelled 'iconic'. Mission accomplished!

I cannot express in words what amazing was this experience with Giorgia. It is something to experience by yourself and explore your vulnerability and your essence. A special and unique experience to explore my body. Giorgia created a safe and warmth space to feel comfortable during the session. It was something magical to go deeper into my emotions, exploring the shadow and the light of every emotion through the expression of my body. Giorgia has a special talent to make you feel at home and guide you through the session. She captured the essence of my soul and I'm so grateful to share this experience with her. This is the second time I experienced a photoshoot with her and I was so impressed with the outcome. I believe these photoshoots are a way to express your vulnerability and feel empowered. Vulnerability is not always easy to express in front of a camera and Giorgia has a natural way to accompany you in the process. It is a self love gift that I highly recommended to everyone! Our shoot was fantastic! Even though the theme of our test shoot was out of my comfort zone, Giorgia was a natural at making me feel at ease and confident :) oh and the camera skills 10/10 haha

I decided to do this photoshoot because I have been struggling to accept my body and the changes it suffered throughout the last year. Doing this photos was such a boost to my confidence. I kept saying to Giorgia that I was so afraid I wasn’t going to like my photos. Looking at them I cannot believe I much I love them! Giorgia has a true talent in capturing your nature. I feel so comfortable and happy in them. It was a day I am never going to forget. I chose this photo as my favorite because I can’t still believe she made me like a picture where I can see my nose in a profile perspective.

I do not have words to express how I feel after this experience. She is amazing technically, she knows how to compose and create to get the most out of a picture.
But then, she has something magical, she guides you sensitively, she makes you feel safe, she creates comfort where you can be your 100%. I have worked with loads of artist, and normally they capture a part of your essence through their perception, but Giorgia goes beyond that and is capable to capture the most pure whole you in few shots. Again, whatever I say will not be enough to explain the truth of how I felt. But this is an experience of life that all of you should try! Life changing body positivity!
